    The VP of Market Access will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and will lead the payer strategy and market access activities enabling Aclaris to achieve successful pricing and listing decisions resulting in optimal access and uptake across the portfolio. This will be achieved through working cross functionally with the Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs teams.


    • Optimizing Patient Access and Pricing: Strategy, Implementation and Management  
    • Develop value anchored pricing setting strategies, including net price strategy for different payer archetypes from launch through product life cycle
    • Develop reimbursement strategy and value propositions for national and regional payers in both public and private sectors
    • Provide price, reimbursement, and market access inputs into forecasts for Aclaris portfolio products
    • In partnership with Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs teams, develop and translate payer insights into meaningful evidence generation plans that support a strong reimbursement file
    • Ensure that payer and provider needs are represented within the early asset teams for strategy

    Required Education and Experience:

    • 15+ years’ experience in Sales, selling into Payers of varying size.
    • Bachelor’s degree, MBA Preferred.
    • Experience brokering and negotiating complex contracts in large national payer accounts.
    • Strategic thinker skilled at building relationships and influencing potential client leadership across all levels of the organization
    • Equally strong at building relationships with internal team members across multiple functional areas
    • Advanced communication and presentation skills required
    • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple work streams
    • Strong business analytics skills

    Work Conditions:

    • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
    • This position is required to work occasional nights and weekends to meet company demands.

    Physical Requirements:

    Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking and 10% standing.
